The City of Morganton will sponsor its Fourth of July fireworks show at 9:45 p.m. , weather permitting. Officials will launch the sparkling explosives from Freedom Park on Independence Boulevard. If rain is a threat, show time may be moved to 9:30 p.m. or earlier in order to avoid canceling the exhibition. The city urges residents to find a parking spot early as the event is very popular.
