This week, The Paper features candidate profiles for the six Republicans seeking three seats on the Burke County Board of Education in the upcoming March 5 primary election.
In the Eastern District race, challenger Jeffrey Reid Beck is pitted against incumbent Wendi Craven.
In the Western District race, Susan C. Jones and Brad Camp are the contenders.
And, in the race for an At-Large seat, incumbent Seth Hunt is being challenged by Jamey Wycoff.
Each candidate was provided with an equal and fair opportunity to respond to questions about their background and about specific issues being confronted by the Board of Education.

Primary Election Day is Tuesday, March 5. Early voting begins on Wednesday, Feb. 14.
